“ Wonderful, charming neighborhood restaurant. Had a prix fixe dinner consisting of lentil soup, coq au vin and crème de brule. All were well prepared, flavorful and nicely presented. Great place to meet friends for a relaxing dinner ”
“ I feel bad for not reviewing this place sooner since I visit here regularly. This restaurant is a gem on the UWS. The food is always on point and I've dined in for brunch and week day evenings. Their cocktails are also delicious. Some food recommendations: coq au vin, lentil + French onion soups, crepe parisienne (which is offered during weekend brunch). The atmosphere is a fun vibe and I've always felt at home. Shoutout to Stefan, Miguel, Max, Sagar and others I may be missing - very nice gentlemen and they're always accommodating. ”
“ Amazing food and ambiance. (Ughhh why is there an 85 character minimum for a review? Random and unnecessary.) ”
“ Great Coq au vin! Serve food past 10pm, when a lot of the neighborhood is closed. Cute outdoor dining. ”
“ Cafe Du Soleil was just lovely! The staff and menu was wonderful and meeting a local gal named Irene was the cherry on top! They also had a great mocktail menu! Happy hour 4-7 for $7 cocktails. ”
“ This place was recommended to by a stranger while eating pizza across the street. I'm glad I decided to finally eat here. The food was great. It was my first time eating at a French restaurant so I wasn't sure what to expect. I got the French onion soup to start out and it was exactly what I wanted. Very savory, warm and cheesy. For my entree I got the steak hache and frites. It was very tender and the peppercorn was great. The garlic fries were also delightful with pieces of roasted garlic sprinkled in. The service was very quick! We made a reservation before hand, and it wasn't a hassle to get one. I would definitely recommend getting one because it looked like it does get full later in the night. The atmosphere was quite lively. All types of diners were there. People eating solo, families, couples, etc. It's a great place to go for something nice but also a little more casual. I'm definitely planning to come back. ”
“ Hands down the best burger I've had in the city. Not only was it absolutely massive, but it had a great flavor, was well-cooked, melted in your mouth, AND came with fries. If you're looking for a good burger, definitely come here. The service was also pretty standard. They had someone refilling waters before it even got halfway which was really nice. The staff were friendly and it took a pretty average amount of time to get our food. Wasn't quick or too long. I would say it does get a bit loud; I had some trouble hearing my partner across the table and we were tucked in the corner. The place is a little moody with the dark lighting and definitely a place you wouldn't wanna show up in jeans and a T-shirt but not super upscale. ”
“ What a lovely place to have brunch or breakfast with friends. We made a reservation and upon arrival were greeted and seated by the hostess. The place has such a pretty feel to it and the energy is warm and inviting. We started off with the espresso which I mean was so good and the perfect jump start to the day haha. Next up we ordered the French Onion Soup, which was delicious, oh my goodness now I know why it's a favorite on the menu. Perfect amount of a sweet onion flavor, not too salty and the cheese was a perfect amount of gooey baked on top ! We also ordered the Eggs Benedict, which the eggs were cooked perfectly and the freshness of this dish was amazing, and the potatoes were delicious!! Everything about this cafe is perfect , from the food, service, ambience and energy. Also it's a great place to have breakfast with the girls or even friends to catch up over some good coffee and food. ”
